First Aid

site-specific performance for 10 participants

The performance First Aid is misusing the situation of a common first-aid training. Developed in 2020-2021 during the pandemic the performance simulates the coming together of a group of people as an emergency. Two trainers guide the participants through different exercises in which collectivity and the relationship as a group are practiced in a radical way. Unlearning a familiar situation becomes a political measure with artistic means.

In relation to the environment in which the performance takes place, different dimensions of the defamiliarization are amplified.
