Felix Falczyk and Johanna Herschel are working on forms of a new participatory theater. For this, they misappropriate situations in which a certain mode of participation already exists. Together with the audience, they construct situations in which new behaviours are rehearsed, unlearned or simulated.  

Their works have been presented at Mousonturm Frankfurt, Ballhaus Ost Berlin, the International Schiller Days at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, zeitraumexit Mannheim, Implantieren Festival Frankfurt,  Zeitzeug-Festival Bochum, ARENA-Festival Erlangen and the TanzArt-Festival Gießen, among others. Internationally, Falczyk and Herschel's works have been invited to the Museum of Contemporary Art Skopje (NMK) and the confluence-Festival in Stockholm (SE). Lectures and artistic research at The New Center for Research & Practice (US) and the School for Politics and Critique (NMK). They are currently based in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main.




Felix Falczyk (*1993) is a performance artist. He studied at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Giessen and Theater Directing at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds an MA in Applied Theater Studies.


Johanna Herschel (*1992) is a performance artist. She studied at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Giessen and Philosophy and Gender Studies at the Institute for Social Sciences and Humanities Skopje and holds an MA in Applied Theater Studies.
